Taste through six wines from Avignonesi Winery in Montepulciano, Italy
Avignonesi is located in south-eastern Tuscany surrounding the hill town of Montepulciano, home to Italy’s first DOCG red wine, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
Conceived in 1974 and named after a member of the founding family, Avignonesi was purchased in 2009 by Virginie Saverys, who has worked tirelessly since then to convert the entire property to organic and biodynamic viticulture.
Their goal has been to craft distinctive, genuine wines, all 100% estate grown, that fully express the special traits of every single vintage and the singular characteristics of the Avignonesi habitat.
Through the support of ultramodern technology and an International young team of winemakers and agronomists, Avignonesi continuously renews its commitment to excellence and quality, focusing its efforts on producing DOCG wines made of 100% Sangiovese.

Taste through 5 vintages of the amazing Riserva series of Felsina Sangiovese
The Rancia vineyard takes its name from the historic Rancia farmhouse, once a Benedictine monastery.
Located in Castelnuovo Berardenga at elevations ranging between 400 and 420 metres it has a fine southwest-facing exposure. The more recent plantings utilize genetic material from massal selections gathered from the old Rancia vineyard. The soil is composed of limestone-derived alberese classic to the Castelnuovo Berardenga area and of galestro marl in some areas.
First vintage 1983.
Nestled in the hills on the Northwest side of the Stags Leap District, Silverado Vineyards has become an iconic estate and home to some of Napa Valley’s most-recognized wines for almost forty years.
Established in 1981, by Ron and Diane Miller and her mother, Lillian Disney, the winery was named in honor of the Silverado Vineyard -- one of the first four in Stags Leap District to plant Cabernet in the 1960s.
Bubbles Over Italy!
Like Champagne in France, Italian sparkling wine has become synonymous with Prosecco – but that’s not all that the country has to offer when it comes to bubbly! From the “Metodo Classico” Champagne-like wines of Franciacorta, to the perfect pizza pairing sparkling reds of Lambrusco, to wines cellared in the sea in Ligura, Italy’s sparkling wines are as unique and diverse as the country’s cuisine.
Let us guide you through the Sparkling Wines of Italy through Chef George Baldwin-Edie’s vision of modern Italian cuisine!

From Son to Father:
Dear Papa, it is with great appreciation that I accept to take on the responsibility and honor of the company you built over a lifetime of hard work. I have utmost respect for the work you have done and I am incredibly grateful for all that you have given me; nevertheless, I hope you can understand and accept my desire and passion for making wine. With the support of you and Giuliana, I can prove to everyone that I am capable of making truly great wines that people will appreciate, giving them a better understanding of our land while recognizing the tremendous potential we have in this special place.
For many years, my father grew grapes that were sold off to the local wine cooperative and local markets from our small 4 hectare farm in Piedmont. In 1976, he asked me if I wanted to take over the company, so along with my wife Giuliana, we began our great adventure...
Since the very beginning, my priority was working among the vines, convinced that in order to make great wine, one must care for the vineyard with love and dedication. As I began this journey, one of the first tasks was to purchase new vineyards so I decided to set my sites on my favorite crus in the region.
I quickly established a deep connection with the land and as a result developed an on going exchange with each vineyard, continuously learning and better understanding the needs of each vine at each moment of the year.
In 1977 I purchased a small plot in the heart of “Bussia”, which allowed me to produce my first Barolo “Briccotto Bussia”. A few years later I was able to obtain an amazing vineyard in the “Ginestra” cru from which I started to produce my Barolo “Ciabot Mentin” and shortly after, another vineyard in this same beautiful cru that take the name of another Barolo of mine, “Pajana”.
In 1995 I selected a piece of land in another cru called “Mosconi” and so began the life of my Barolo “Percristina”.
With a lot of hard work and determination, we were able to build a company that today consists of approximately 21 hectares and a total production of 110,000 bottles per year.
Relentless in my pursuit for improvement, in 2005 I set my sights on a higher goal that would allow me to grow and better myself as a winemaker. As a result, I created a new Barolo from Serralunga d’Alba, a commune very close to Monforte d’Alba, offering distinct and unique characteristics that bring to life “Aeroplanservaj”.
I never give up, even in the face of severe challenges.
I remain relentlessly focused on excellence in every aspect of the vineyard and cellar and takes great pride in the wine I craft and the terroir that shines through in each of my bottle.

Cristom Vineyards was established by visionary founder, Paul Gerrie and his wife Eileen in 1992, who each possess a deep-rooted respect for the land, the natural winemaking process, and Pinot Noir. More than 25 years later, second-generation winegrower and owner Tom Gerrie leads winemaker Steve Doerner and our tenured viticulture team in tending our Estate vineyards, and producing elegant, dynamic wines, recognizable by our hallmark style of whole-cluster fermentation by native yeasts.
Our winemaking philosophy begins with respect for our land and estate vines. We're proud to be Certified Sustainable by Low Input Viticulture & Enology (LIVE), both in our winery which we run responsibly, and in our fields, that are thoughtfully and meticulously farmed with a focus on quality.
The four estate Pinot Noir vineyards - Eileen, Jessie, Louise and Marjorie, named for Gerrie family matriarchs - each possess natural variances in soil, elevation and exposition. With minimal intervention during the winemaking process, Tom, Steve and team strive to craft wines that are an honest recording of both the vineyard and the vintage, producing the ultimate expressions of the stellar fruit we’re fortunate enough to work with. Recognized globally as a leading producer in our beloved Willamette Valley, our wines continue to be a unique blend of tradition, modernity and finesse.

It was 1966 when Domenico Poggiali Fèlsina took the courageous leap and bought the estate at a time when Italian viticultore was struggling. He chose to invest in the quality of the wine and the expertise of a young team.
Their passion for wine united with the skills of businessmen, and under their guidance, they injected modernity into their business plan, without however, abandoning the spirit of tradition. In the space of a few years, the vineyards grew to more than forty hectares, and the soul and organization of the company changed, as well.
In the second half of the 1970s Giuseppe Mazzocolin entered the family business with the task of commercial development.
His studies in the Humanities, his wealth of contacts, his elevated work ethic and his respect for Tuscan and Italian culture constitute the foundation for the growth of the Fèlsina winery, paving the way for the beginnings of their international recognition.
Their friendship with Luigi Veronelli and collaboration with oenologist Franco Bernabei shaped a developmental strategy that has proven itself extremely coherent starting with the wines of 1983, the first year of Fontalloro and of Rancia, up to the present day. With Domenico and Giuseppe Poggiali at the helm, an extraordinary development began which, since 1990, also includes Giovanni Poggiali, the oldest of Giuseppe’s three sons.
